Helping employees maximize their potential

Breadcrumb

Each year UC collaborates with Coro, a prestigious national non-profit leadership development organization, to provide two distinct systemwide development programs for UC faculty and staff – the UC Executive Leadership Collaborative, designed for direct reports to a Dean or Vice Chancellor, and the UC Women’s Initiative (UC WI), which is a targeted professional development program designed to prepare more women for advancement within UC. We are pleased to announce the opening of the nomination process for the 2023-2024 Systemwide UC Women’s Initiative for Professional Development. We anticipate that the call for nominations for the Executive Leadership Collaborative will occur later this year.

A third Coro program is also being offered for the first time to UCR faculty.  UCR has partnered with Coro to offer UCR faculty a Leadership Collaborative program.  This leadership development program is intended for tenured faculty who are interested in developing skills and knowledge for leadership at the Riverside Campus.  Applications are being accepted now for the fall 2023.

UC WI is an experiential professional development program for women designed to elevate women in leadership, establish a pipeline for advancement, and contribute to women’s and UC's success. UC WI is sponsored by the Systemwide Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (SACSW) and the UC Office of the President, and is delivered by Coro. The program was awarded the 2018 Brandon Hall Group Gold Excellence Award for Best Advance in Women’s Leadership Development in 2018.

Six cohorts will be offered with the nomination and selection process running February through May 2023.

The program fee is $1,250 per participant which covers the virtual program delivery and all program resources, tools and support. Upon return to the preferred, in-person delivery method, we expect the fee to increase to its original $1,950 per participant or higher based on the cost of in-person delivery. By nominating and selecting an individual, the location is agreeing to payment of the $1,250 participant fee.

The UCR nomination process opens on February 27, 2023; applications are due by March 24, 2023.
