Information Technology Solutions (ITS) and Human Resources have successfully launched the new HRMS Contract Out module! Below are important reminders and information on an upcoming office hour session led by Daphne Hawkins, Labor Relations Representative:

What’s New
- The process for contracting services will no longer be conducted via paper submitted through DocuSign
- Beginning February 1, 2022 all requests and supporting documentation for contracting services must be initiated and completed in the HRMS Contract Out module
- Policy Regents Policy 5402: Policy Generally Prohibiting Contracting for Services remains in effect
- Outsourcing Policy Carve Outs
- All contracting out requests initiated before February 1, 2022 will be completed in DocuSign
Why the Change?
- Moving from a paper form and manual process to an online tool with allow for an expedited process with better visibility, tracking, reporting and compliance.
Getting Started
- Accessing HRMS Contract Out Module
- To access the HRMS Contract Out module, users must have an EACS provisioned role
- Note: Individuals who will have requests checked out to them in HRMS do not require provisioning in EACS
- Requests for access should be directed to the user’s Department SAA
- Click on or enter https://hrms.ucr.edu in an internet browser.
- Individuals who have been granted an HRMS EACS role will also be able to access HRMS via R’Space on the “Authorized Apps” tab
- Note: Chrome and Firefox are recommended; Internet Explorer (IE) is not supported.

HRMS Background Information:
- Job Code Information: Replaces UCR Title and Pay Plan (TPP) containing job code attribute information.
- Job Builder: Expands the UCR Career Tracks system to incorporate the Job Description System (JDS) resulting in all job descriptions being created and maintained in a single application.
- Recruitment: Replaces a subset of existing iRecruit functionality.
- Review: Replaces iReview; Reclassification, Reclass Salary Review and Equity actions.
- Contract Out: Online repository of contracts initiated for contracted services.
