Re: | Mandatory Posting of PERB Decision in Unfair Labor Practice Charge SF-CE-1410-H |
Dear Colleagues:
Pursuant to the California Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) Decision regarding Unfair Labor Practice Charge SF-CE-1410-H, the University is required to post the attached “NOTICE TO EMPLOYEES” at all work locations where notices to SX and EX bargaining unit employees are customarily posted.
To comply with this order, please take the following steps:
1. The notice must be posted no later than today, Tuesday, September 16, 2025, and must remain posted for thirty (30) consecutive workdays excluding holidays. In order to avoid any disputes as to what constitutes a “workday” and to satisfy our posting period obligation, the posting must remain in place until November 3, 2025.
2. In addition to the physical postings, the Notice shall also be posted on any electronic sites where departments post employee communications.
3. Reasonable steps shall be taken to ensure that the notices are not reduced in size, altered, defaced, or covered with other material.
4. In addition to the posting in each department, the notice will be posted on the Human Resources website, under “HR Announcements”, with the heading “Notice to Employees of Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) Decision No. SF-CE-1410-H. The Notice has already been distributed to AFSCME-represented employees via email.
5. Please report where and when the notice is posted physically and electronically so that we can report back to PERB about our compliance. Please make sure to track when first posted and when taken down and provide proof of the electronic postings, including a screenshot or printout of the website where the notice was posted and a copy of the email(s).
Business officers in departments employing AFSCME-represented employees are required to input this information on UCOP’s Smartsheet form at Notice Posting Information Submission Form - SF-CE-1410
Thank you for your timely assistance with this matter.
Respectfully,
Jonathan Connolly
