This communication is to inform the campus of the revised Presidential Policy PPSM-21: Selection and Appointment. The revised policy went into effect on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Reason for Revisions
The policy revision was in response to Senate Bill 791 and Assembly Bill 810, which added and amended Sections 92612.1 and 92612.2 of the California Education code.
Revisions
Revisions to the policy include:
- Technical and clarifying edits for compliance with legal requirements.
- Enhanced hiring protocols that evaluate applicants’ prior work history, including whether they have violated workplace policies of their current or prior employer(s).
