Breadcrumb

This communication is to inform our HR campus partners of recent changes to UC/UCR search committee training courses as they relate to Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EOAA).

Summary

Effective April 21, 2025, the University of California took steps to comply with Executive Order (EO) 14173. As a result, policies, local procedures, trainings and other documentation impacted by EO 14173 are either under review, have been disabled/removed or have already been revised. There are currently six (6) trainings being reviewed to determine which EOAA related trainings will be either temporarily disabled or deactivated while under review.

Who The Changes Will Impact

Search committee members who are enrolled in one of the following training courses will not be able to access the trainings after 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025:

  • Equal Employment, Affirmative Action & the Hiring Process
  • Applicant Pool Statistics and Creating Diverse Applicant Pools Module (currently inaccessible
  • Role of AACL on the Search Committee
  • Diversifying and Training Search Committee

As an alternative, the Search Advisory and Hiring Committee Best Practices remain available.
