The purpose of leave of absence process is to manage the lifecycle of all leave of absence requests from the first point of contact with the leave coordinators until the day of return of the employee back from the leave.

Leave of Absence (LoA) 

 

Purpose

  • To track and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all leave of absence requests at UCR effectively. 
  • Enabling the employees to be able to submit LoA requests and consume resources in self-service manner
  • Improving the overall fulfillment experience for the leave coordinators through minimizing the number of tools needed to track and support the LoA process

 

 

Objective

  • Promote self-service for employees to consume LoA resources and submit inquiries/requests as needed
  • Minimize the number of tools needed to submit, track and support LoA requests
  • Enable process automations where possible in order to minimize manual fulfillment work resulting in increased efficiency and team morale
