Dear UCR Supervisors and Managers,
We’re excited to announce the launch of Foundations for Supervisory Success – From Orientation to Elevation. Whether you're new to a supervisory role or a seasoned manager, this series is designed to provide critical information and application of policy, onboarding and offboarding employees, payroll, timekeeping, employee performance, classification, promotion, wages, budget, and much more.
This comprehensive series includes 16 sessions offered from August 2025 through April 2026, facilitated by subject matter experts from departments across the UCR campus. Topics will range from HR Basics to Wellness, and Strategy, as well as navigating Payroll, to Risk and Safety, and Compliance.
Designed as a journey, the series integrates LinkedIn Learning eCourses with scheduled interactive Learning Labs where supervisors will discuss insights and apply practical takeaways in a collaborative setting.
To receive a Certificate of Completion, participants must attend all 16 sessions. Completing the full series demonstrates a strong commitment to supervisory excellence and personal growth.
We invite you to join us for a virtual Kickoff Session on August 6 at 9:00 a.m., where you’ll learn more about the series structure, meet fellow participants, and begin your journey toward supervisory success.
