All UC-sponsored medical plans provide the following:

• Prescription nicotine replacement therapies, such as nicotine inhalers, sprays and medications, at no additional cost when prescribed by a physician.
• Over-the-counter nicotine replacement products are available, at no cost when prescribed by a physician.
• You can participate in behavioral modification programs to help you quit smoking, but it is not required to receive these benefits.

Faculty Staff & Assistance Program

This Faculty Staff & Assistance Program (FSAP) is free and confidential service provides assessment, counseling and stress management services to UC employees seeking to quit smoking.

Help Clear the Air Student Ambassador

Speak with a provider about getting a prescription for tobacco cessation products, please call the UCR Student Health Center at (951) 827-3031.

The WELL

Visit The Well (HUB 248) to find tobacco cessation information, "Quit Kits" and other stress relief items, or if you need to talk to a peer or professional health educator about quitting smoking or getting connected to additional resources.

California Smoker's Helpline

The California Smokers' Helpline is a telephone program that can help you quit smoking. Helpline services are free and funded by the California Department of Public Health and by First 5 California. The helpline has been in operation since 1992. Every month, thousands of Californians call and receive help. Call 1-800-300-8086.

Created by the UCR Environmental Toxicology Graduate Program, the Electronic Cigarette Fact Sheet provides helpful information on the current vaping epidemic, recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) as well as information about electronic cigarettes and their health effects.

California Smokers Helpline

Are you concerned about vaping - there is a public health outbreak of severe lung illness linked to vaping? You have tried to quit but found yourself vaping again or are having trouble getting through the day without vaping?
