99 - Management and Senior Professional (MSP)

(Open Range Salary Structure)


Fiscal year 2011-2012 in effect.

Range Adjustment

The maximum of the open ranges were increased by 7.50% for all grades, except PSS grade 11 and MSP grade 1. The minimum and maximum for PSS grade 11 remained unchanged. The maximum for MSP grade 1 was increased by 10.0%.


Effective July 1, 2011: Merit program funding is based on 3.0 percent of eligible base payroll. SMG designated positions are excluded. The eligibility requirements are: (1) Career or contract policy-covered (non-represented) staff; (2) Hired on or before January 1, 2011; (3) Earning an annualized base salary less than $200,000, as of July 1, 2011; (4) Completed probationary period successfully, on or before July 1, 2011; and (5) Received no base salary increase, effective between January 2, 2011 and October 31, 2011. 

Contract MSP and PSS staff meeting criteria 1 through 5, are eligible for a merit increase if the contract includes merit eligibility.

Staff Recognition Award Program

Supplemental Recognition Program funding of 0.89% is available for distribution to employees for FY 2010-11 only. Refer to program guidelines for eligibility requirements.
