Online Web-based Payroll/Personnel System (PPS) Inquiry
This web-based application is now available to everyone who has a userid and password for regular PPS Inquiry. Please logon via this web address: http://prod.ucop.edu/pp5.
The system will prompt the user to enter their USERID. The user should enter their current PPS userid (it starts with RV); then their password (it's the same password used for the current PPS Inquiry application). Click on logon. Select Employee Database (EDB) Inquiry by clicking it. Information can be retrieved using three search criteria - Name (enter lastname, firstname), SSN, or ID; and then click select. If there's a match, the system will return the name, home department, etc., on the top of the screen.
Proceed to look up information by clicking on the screen names on the left of the screen. The screen names are: Personal, Address, Employment, Appointments, Labor Relations, Benefits, Retirement, Citizenship, Taxes, Hours Balance, Pay Disposition, Leave Accrual, Licenses, Financial Aid, Work Study, Browse.
Access to the web-based inquiry is restricted to the access the user currently has to PPS Inquiry. If the user currently has access to one department, then he/she will only see the employees within that department. Security of employee data is very important. Please treat all PPS data with care, especially personal data that is confidential. Remember to logoff when you're not using the system and close the browser completely.
