Welcome to the Staff Orientation website.  This information is offered to supplement what you will learn at the full day Staff Orientation program.  You’ll find materials here to print and bring with you to orientation, and other items of interest that can be used throughout your career here at UC Riverside.

1. What to Expect
Staff Orientation was started in 1997 in an effort to introduce new staff members to the campus community and the University way of doing business.  It became an integral part in socializing new employees, and crucial in introducing them to campus life.  Staff Orientation is a great way to learn about the history of UC and UC Riverside, the mission of the University, our future goals, campus structure, policies, and much more.  Over 10 different presenters come together to share this information in an engaging and interactive format.  It’s also a great way to meet your fellow colleagues and network.  Employees from departments all over campus attend, so you will be able to add to your list of campus contacts and friends after a day at Staff Orientation!

Participants will be served a light continental breakfast and a full lunch.  Please dress comfortably, as there will be a tour in the afternoon that will involve some walking.  Room temperatures vary, so you may want to bring a light jacket or a sweater.

2. What to Bring
Here are the PowerPoint Presentations you will be seeing during orientation.  Feel free to download and print the ones you wish to bring with you.
